DANCES OF INDIA

 Dances of India, St. Louis’ venerable classical Indian dance company, presents its 40th season in 2017-2018. Its colorful centerpiece is Devi of the Ashes–or, Cinderella in India. MAGIC OF LIGHTS

When: Friday, Nov. 17, 5 – 10 p.m. Thru Jan. 1

Opening night is Nov. 17 and open thru Jan. 1 as the track is transformed into the ultimate drive-through holiday lights SPECTACULAR! More than 1.5 miles of incredible displays to make your Christmas merry and BRIGHT.

JEREMIAH JOHNSON BAND

Born and raised in St. Louis, Jeremiah Johnson is the voice of Mississippi River blues blending with the struggles of everyday life. He began learning guitar at age 6, drawing inspiration from his rich St. Louis blues heritage and legendary guitarists, like Alvin Lee, Eric Clapton and Hank Williams Sr. and Jr. ​

FAIR TRADE MARKET

What: The Fair Trade Market offers unique gifts, international crafts, and exquisite foods. It is the nation’s largest Fair Trade Market with more than 3,000 sq. ft. of merchandise from around the world.

NOVELTIES

When: Saturday, Nov. 18, 8 p.m.
Where: Edison Theatre
What:
 Join The Big Muddy Dance Company as they dive into their seventh anniversary with “Novelties – A Tribute to Written Word” performance this fall. Eleven dancers will invigorate you through their athleticism, emotion, humor, power, and grace on the Edison stage.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

When:  Saturday, Nov. 18, 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Kiener Plaza
What: Christmas in St. Louis is pleased to announce that the 2017 Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights will return to Kiener Plaza! The Festival of Lights will take place Saturday, November 18th and will include a host of live entertainment, lighting of the Salvation Army Tree of Lights, a festive fireworks finale, and the opening of the ice rink. The rink will remain open until January 1, 2018.

GOOD AS GOLD

When: Sunday, Nov. 19, 3:30 p.m.

Touhill Performing Arts Center
What: 
The Saint Louis Ballet’s new “GO” series kicks off with work by choreographers including Tom Gold. The new series was created to bring the dancers up close– literally –  to the audience, with work that has been created for smaller casts on a smaller stage. The intimacy of the Lee Theatre will afford ballet enthusiasts a new experience in an informal setting, and an opportunity to mingle with choreographers and dancers following the performance.

ARCADIA DANCE ORCHESTRA

When: Sunday, Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m.
Where: 
The Stage at KDHX
What: The Arcadia Dance Orchestra’ is an authentic, 11 piece 1920’s style jazz band based in St. Louis, Missouri. Comprising of professional musicians from the local music scene and led by local bandleader T.J Muller.
