Science

The central purpose and primary task of Science education in
Missouri are to awaken in students at all levels a sense of joy
and wonder, in the excitement and intellectual power of science. Science education should develop an understanding of the natural and physical worlds in which we live, the relationships among the phenomena of those worlds, the effects of those worlds on human living and should explain how human living affects the natural and physical worlds, and how knowledge of these worlds is discovered by those who study science.
