Healing From the Heart
Impact’s Brenda Madden goes behind the scenes of a Maryville University music program that brings happiness to some very sick youngsters. You’ll meet the lady who brings music into their lives and helps these kids rock cancer!
Innovative Inventor
On this program you will meet a surgeon who was once told he shouldn’t even go to college. But now this doctor is dreaming up and designing state of the art surgical tools making surgeries safer and patients heal faster.
Untapped Treasure
Did you ever wonder what goes into making a movie or documentary. Well you can find out at Washington University’s Film and Media Archive which houses one of the larges media collections in the country. This collection tells the back story to what some call the greatest documentary about our country’s civil rights movement.
Leap of Faith
A young St. Louis girl had a dream to be a prima ballerina. She went to one of the best ballet schools, worked hard and accomplished her dancing dream. Now she is taking her love and sharing it with area school children. It’s an innovative program that she hoeps will build interest in ballet and help out of work dancers as well.
Community Champion
We’ll also introduce you to a man on a mission to make over one of the poorest areas of St. Louis. He’s been retired for decades but is working harder than ever to help those who really need it. Bill Patty is more than a volunteer he’s a father figure and community champion who is definitely making an impact!
