Movers and Makers, December 2016

This episode is all about the many movers and makers in St. Louis area schools. In fact, this show was taped at the St. Louis Science Center’s Makerspace – one of the many makerspaces in the region. What’s a makerspace? We’ll take you to several in our area and show you how kids are benefitting. That, plus stories on a program that has teens working the election polls, a summit that’s challenging kids to change the community around them, a project Pattonville students are on deadline to complete and a teacher who’s being recognized for a music program that’s changing students’ lives.

There’s a lot more to education than blackboards and textbooks. Behind the Minds takes you behind the school doors to highlight educational initiatives within St. Louis city and county K-12 schools. Watch for teachers, staff, administrators, and students who will blow your mind with innovative ideas and programs.
