Celebrating 50 yrs of the St. Louis Blues at SLPL

Through a new exhibit honoring the St. Louis Blues’ 50 years in St. Louis the NHL team and the St. Louis Public Library have formed what Executive Vice President of the Blues Bruce Affleck calls “a relation ship that will continue forever.” Cathy Heimberger, the director of marketing and programming at SLPL, describes how the installation not only features hundreds of pieces of Blues memorabilia provided by avid fans, but it also planted the seeds for a long lasting partnership between the two iconic St. Louis organizations. Marketing and Communications Manager for the Blues Emilee Murphree explains how SLPL will serve as the official archive for the hockey team.
