SLAM Celebrates Folk Art with Self-Taught Genius

The Saint Louis Art Museum will present Self-Taught Genius: Treasures from the American Folk Art Museum from June 19 through September 11, 2016. It explores the concept of a “self-taught genius” through more than 100 works from the Revolutionary War to contemporary times. Self-Taught Genius premiered in 2014 and was organized by the American Folk Art Museum with funding from the Henry Luce Foundation, as part of its 75th anniversary initiative.
