Julie Piekarski Probst: Muny Dancer to Mousketeer

Florissant, MO native Julie Piekarski Probst spent her teen years dancing, but not at her high school prom. The streets of Disneyland were her dance floor and her young partners were fellow Mousketeers.
From performing at the Muny Opera of St. Louis to becoming a Mouseketeer and sitcom actress, the now mother of three has returned to acting after raising her children. Her story could have been the inspiration for the Wonderful World of Disney’s theme song, “When You Wish Upon A Star.”

“Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true.”
